Joint hypermobility syndrome

Joint hypermobility syndrome occurs when your joints are extremely flexible, often referred to as being double-jointed. This condition commonly affects children and young adults, but it often improves with age. You or your child might have joint hypermobility syndrome if you experience certain symptoms. It's worth noting that some individuals with this syndrome may not exhibit any symptoms at all. Typically, a GP will assess joint hypermobility syndrome by evaluating the flexibility of your joints through a method known as the Beighton scoring system.
