About Dr Yasser El-Sherif

Dr Yasser El-Sherif is a dedicated consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist based in South Yorkshire, practising primarily at Spire Claremont Hospital. He specialises in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, liver disease, and pancreatic and biliary disorders. He also manages conditions such as acid reflux and IBS, and performs advanced diagnostic procedures including capsule endoscopy and bowel cancer screening. An expert endoscopist with over 15,000 procedures performed, Dr El-Sherif is especially focused on delivering painless gastroscopy and colonoscopy for patient comfort. Dr El-Sherif trained in the South London Deanery and gained extensive experience at leading UK hospitals including King’s College, Guy’s, and St Thomas’. He completed his MD in Liver Disease at Imperial College London and later held a senior fellowship in advanced endoscopy at King’s College Hospital, focusing on complex pancreaticobiliary cases. In addition to his clinical work, he has presented research at major national and international conferences and published widely in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, British Society of Gastroenterology, and both the American and European Associations for the Study of Liver Disease.
