About Miss Dorota Hardy
Miss Dorota Hardy is a consultant gynaecologist and minimal access surgeon in Leeds, who specialises in endometriosis, menopause and menstrual disorders, alongside hysteroscopy, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), laparoscopic hysteroscopy, myomectomy, ovarian cysts and fibroids. She privately practises at The Duchy Hospital, while her NHS base is Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where she co-leads the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE)-accredited Endometriosis Centre. Her approach combines evidence-based treatments with personalised care plans tailored to both pre-menopausal and post-menopausal women. She is committed to empowering women to make informed decisions about their health, whether managing symptoms with conservative treatment or exploring surgical options. Her surgical practice focuses on minimally invasive techniques designed to reduce recovery time and improve outcomes. Miss Hardy holds postgraduate qualifications in both surgery (MRCS) and obstetrics and gynaecology (MRCOG), as well as an MSc in Surgical Technology from Imperial College London and an MD in Cancer Cell Biology from Newcastle University. She completed her specialist training in the North-East of England, gaining experience at established endometriosis centres in Newcastle and South Tees. She serves as the NIHR Research Lead for Women’s Health in Yorkshire and Humber, promoting research and innovation across the region. She is also an Honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Leeds and an active contributor to national surgical training as a member of the BSGE Laparoscopic Portfolio Committee. Her academic work focuses on improving diagnostic pathways and outcomes in endometriosis through translational research and surgical simulation training. Miss Hardy has received multiple awards for her contributions to clinical care and research, including recognition from the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy and the National Institute for Health Research.
