About Mr Tosan Okoro
Mr Tosan Okoro is a distinguished consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon based in Shropshire, practising at Nuffield Health Shrewsbury Hospital and The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. His clinical expertise centres on hip and knee surgery, including primary total hip and knee replacements, revision hip replacements, and arthroscopic knee meniscectomy. He also treats lower limb trauma and has a strong interest in clinical outcomes research and surgical education. Mr Okoro graduated from the University of Warwick and completed his core surgical training in the West Midlands Deanery. He obtained a PhD from Bangor University, focusing on exercise rehabilitation following total hip arthroplasty. He has undertaken prestigious fellowships in Canada, Brazil, and Germany, gaining advanced training in lower limb reconstruction and trauma surgery. He is also a graduate of the BOA National Future Leaders Programme and holds a Level 7 certificate in strategic management and leadership. In parallel with his clinical work, Mr Okoro serves as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Keele University and plays an active role in training orthopaedic trainees on the Oswestry/Stoke rotation.
