About Dr Andrew Milestone
Dr Andrew Milestone is a highly respected consultant gastroenterologist based in Hereford, practising at Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, with particular expertise in gastroscopy, capsule endoscopy, pH manometry, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Dr Milestone offers thorough, patient-centred care, using advanced techniques to investigate and manage symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhoea, ensuring each patient receives a tailored and comprehensive assessment. Dr Milestone graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, Imperial College London in 1998 with honours in Medicine, Surgery and Medical Science. He undertook specialist training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and General Internal Medicine across several leading London teaching hospitals, including Hammersmith, St Mary’s, Charing Cross and St Mark’s. His research into complex gut diseases culminated in a Doctorate in Medical Research (MD) from Imperial College London in 2012, and he was later elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) for his professional achievements and contributions to the field. As Lead Clinician for Gastroenterology at Hereford County Hospital, Dr Milestone has played a key role in developing and modernising local gastroenterology services. He has introduced innovative diagnostic technologies such as video capsule endoscopy and high-resolution oesophageal manometry, improving diagnostic accuracy and patient comfort. A fully JAG-accredited endoscopist and national trainer in colonoscopy, he is committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and training.
