About Professor Adrian Wilson
Professor Adrian Wilson is a highly respected consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in the knee and hip. For over two decades, he has dedicated his career to pioneering advanced, minimally invasive techniques in orthopaedic surgery, with the core mission of delivering better results, shorter recovery times, and longer-lasting solutions for his patients. He is recognised as one of Europe's foremost authorities in the field of ligament reconstruction and ACL Repair. Prof. Wilson has developed and patented several globally adopted techniques, including the "All Inside" ACL/PCL reconstruction method and the revolutionary Internal Brace technique, which strengthens ligament reconstructions and allows patients to return to movement faster. In the field of joint preservation, he has played a key role in advancing modern osteotomy techniques, a joint-preserving surgery. He is an expert in all aspects of knee replacement and was also the first to introduce microfragmented adipose tissue therapy (Lipogems®) to the UK for easing arthritic pain, as well as offering a wide range of other non-surgical treatments for joint conditions. A dedicated academic, he has over 30 publications on PubMed, holds the position of Department Chair for Sport and Exercise at Winchester University, and gives more than ten international lectures annually. His commitment to education is further demonstrated by his frequent live surgery demonstrations for other surgeons. Professor Wilson also runs a visitation programme, inviting consultants from the UK and abroad to observe his pioneering work in the operating theatre.
