Eye injuries

Minor eye injuries, like having shampoo or dust enter your eye, typically improve on their own within a day. However, you should seek medical assistance if a chemical has come into contact with your eye or if there is a puncture. For urgent care, locate your nearest Accident & Emergency department. Remember, do not drive yourself to A&E; instead, ask someone to take you or call 999 for an ambulance. If something is in your eye, rinse it gently with clean water, and follow any instructions on the packaging if cosmetics or household items have affected your eyes.
