About Dr Chris Jones
Dr Chris Jones is a consultant in musculoskeletal, sport, and exercise medicine (SEM) with extensive experience in treating sports injuries across both elite and recreational athletes. He has worked at a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence, specialising in the non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions. He is the current head of performance medicine at Chelsea FC's academy team. Dr Christopher Jones brings extensive experience in managing sports injuries in both elite and recreational athletes. He specialises in the non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and is passionate about using exercise as a key part of recovery from injuries and medical conditions. Dr Jones advocates for supporting patients through physical activity as an integral part of their recovery process. He has also contributed to Sport England’s Moving Medicine resources, helping raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in tackling ‘paediatric obesity and physical inactivity. Dr Jones takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on the individual as a whole rather than just the injury to ensure optimal recovery and health With a background in general practice, Dr Jones has also gained experience working with several football clubs, including Charlton Athletic and Leyton Orient. In 2015, Dr Jones earned a master's degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine from University College London. His research on "ultrasound measurement of chest wall thickness in elite rugby players" won an award at the BASEM 2015 Congress and contributed to improvements in acute pitch-side emergency care.
