About Mr Koushik Ghosh

Mr Koushik Ghosh is a highly-esteemed consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Worthing, practising at the BMI Goring Hall Hospital and at Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital. With over 10 years of experience in lower limb surgery, Mr Ghosh specialises in sports related knee injuries, primary and revision knee arthroplasty, primary hip arthroplasty, osteotomy, and patellofemoral problems. Mr Ghosh graduated from University College London in 2004 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, MBBS. He went on to undertake training in orthopaedic surgery in Surry and Sussex, and during this period earned an international fellowship with the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre in Australia. This gave him valuable experiences in the management of sports related injuries. Later, he undertook a fellowship at the Exeter Knee Reconstruction Unit, developing his skills in both primary and revision knee replacement surgery. Following his fellowships, Mr Ghosh was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust, where he continues to practise. His biggest priority is his patient’s outcome. He is also keen to develop care and services in the area that he practises, currently establishing an acute knee clinic with the involvement of local musculoskeletal physiotherapists. He is involved in the training and monitoring of registrars in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex. He actively educates juniors on the latest research, standards, and evidence in the field of orthopaedics, which he always incorporates into his work.
