About Mr Mohammad Maqsood

Mr Mohammad Maqsood is a distinguished consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Lincoln who specialises in knee, shoulder, and hip surgery. His areas of expertise include total knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, hip replacement, cartilage repair, and sports injuries. He is also highly skilled in autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI), membrane-assisted chondrocyte implantation (MACI), and Tru-fit cartilage plugs. Mr Maqsood consults privately at Lincoln Private Hospital. With over 40 years’ experience, he also holds an NHS position at Lincoln County Hospital since 2002 and serves as the British Orthopaedic Association Linkman for Lincolnshire. Mr Maqsood qualified in 1985 with an MBBS from the University of Peshawar. He then undertook basic surgical training at Ayub Teaching Hospital before relocating to the UK for higher specialist training at St James’ University Hospital, as part of the prestigious Yorkshire training programme. Furthermore, Mr Maqsood is fellowship-trained, having completed an AO fellowship in trauma surgery at Regensburg University Hospital in 2002. In addition, Mr Maqsood is the chief investigator for the study “The Effects of Smoking on Fracture Healing” at Lincoln County Hospital. He has also presented numerous research papers worldwide, including in Orlando, Helsinki, Florence, Nice, and Hong Kong, and is involved in medical and surgical education at various levels as an AO faculty member.
