About Mr David Simpson
Mr David Simpson is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in complex hip and knee disorders. His areas of expertise include knee and hip replacements, ACL reconstruction, cartilage surgery and realignment procedures. Mr Simpson is a leading regional authority in custom-made, patient-specific ‘signature’ knee replacements, a technique he first introduced at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton. His approach focuses on precision and personalisation, using MRI-based technology to ensure accurate mechanical alignment, reduced tissue damage, and faster recovery for his patients. He completed his medical training at Sheffield Medical School, followed by surgical posts in Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh and the Stoke/Oswestry registrar rotation. Moreover, he undertook a prestigious fellowship at Sportsmed - SA in Adelaide, the largest joint replacement and sports injury centre in the Southern Hemisphere.
