Foot drop

Foot drop, also known as drop foot, is a condition that makes it challenging to lift or move your foot and toes. It typically affects one foot and can alter your walking pattern. The primary cause of foot drop is often an injury to a nerve in the leg that controls the muscles responsible for lifting the foot. While foot drop may improve on its own or with treatment, there are instances where it can become a permanent issue. If you experience foot drop, your GP will assess your leg and foot and evaluate your walking style.
