About Professor Maneesh Bhatia
Professor Maneesh Bhatia is a revered consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in foot and ankle surgery, including bunion surgery, revision bunion surgery, correction of lesser toe deformities, hallux rigidus, Morton’s neuroma, rheumatoid foot reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, sports-related ankle injuries (including instability), deformity corrections, midfoot and hindfoot fusions, arthroscopic ankle fusion, and treatment for Achilles, peroneal, and tibialis posterior tendon disorders, as well as ankle replacement. Professor Bhatia was recently honoured with the prestigious European Foot and Ankle Society’s annual visiting fellowship in the USA. Impressively, Professor Bhatia was awarded the Nuffield Doctor of The Year prize in 2018 as well as receiving the BMA Best Book Award in 2021. He obtained an MBBS from the University of Rajasthan in 1993 before going on to achieve a MS at the aforementioned university. Professor Bhatia treats patients aged 12 and older, and is a member of various organisations, including the British Orthopaedic Foot Ankle Society, the British Orthopaedic Association, and the European Foot Ankle Society. He has published extensively to date in his medical career within peer-reviewed publications and journals.
