About Robyn Carter-Wale
Robyn Carter-Wale is a highly experienced and dedicated consultant podiatrist with more than 20 years of service across London NHS Trusts. Her career spans community foot health teams, acute hospital environments, and multidisciplinary services, reflecting a broad and in-depth clinical background. Her strong commitment to ongoing professional development is demonstrated through her extensive training and achievements. She currently practises privately at Chase Lodge Hospital. She currently holds a consultant podiatric surgeon position with Central London and Community Healthcare NHS Trust, dividing her time between a specialist foot surgery service and delivering expert care within a general podiatry practice. Over the course of her career, Robyn has been involved in more than 4,500 foot and ankle surgical procedures. These include surgery for bunions, toe deformities, tendon and soft tissue conditions, arthritic foot disorders, and high-risk and diabetic limb salvage cases. She is a qualified non-medical independent prescriber, a CASE-accredited sonographer, and has extended scope training in lower limb anaesthesia and injection therapies. Her extensive training and experience have enabled her to develop a comprehensive clinical skill set, allowing her to consistently achieve excellent patient outcomes with very low complication rates. Robyn’s practice is underpinned by an ethical, compassionate approach, with a clear understanding of the social and economic factors that may influence her patients’ health. She is committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care, focusing on both immediate concerns and long-term outcomes through individually tailored treatment plans. Alongside her clinical work, Robyn served on the Faculty of Podiatric Surgery Committee from 2020 to 2023. She is actively involved in national-level lecturing and contributes to teaching on the Foot and Ankle Musculoskeletal Ultrasound programme at Brunel University. She also remains engaged in research through journal clubs, deanery meetings, and collaboration with the Royal College Faculty of Podiatric Surgery research network, of which she is a founding member.
