Hamstring injury

Hamstrings are the muscles located at the rear of your thighs. They can become injured during sports or physical activities. Mild injuries can typically be managed at home. A hamstring injury often occurs while exercising or participating in sports, and you might experience a sudden pain in the back of your leg due to damage to the hamstring. In more serious cases, you could feel a snapping sensation or even hear a ‘pop’. Following the injury, the back of your thigh may become tender, and swelling and bruising may develop within a few hours.
