About Dr Chris Ireland

Dr Chris Ireland is a musculoskeletal and sports medicine doctor in central London. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of knee pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain and ankle pain, mobility issues, sports rehabilitation, functional medicine and the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). He privately practises at The Re:PAIR Clinic on Harley Street, which he is the director of, and a specialist in regenerative rehabilitation, perioperative optimisation and evidence-based metabolic care. His NHS base is Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Ireland graduated from the University of London in 2007 with an MB BS with honours. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP, 2013) and has completed a Master’s degree in sports and exercise medicine (MSc SEM), a Postgraduate Certificate in ultrasound (PgC US) and training through the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM). He also has a BSc in Medical Sciences from the University of Leeds (2002). Dr Ireland combines state-of-the-art diagnostics with minimally invasive interventions to help patients restore movement, maintain independence and avoid unnecessary surgery. He is a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and is clinical director for adult community services at his NHS trust. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Ireland lectures nationally and internationally on metabolic medicine, perioperative conditioning and advanced rehabilitation techniques. He has taught postgraduate evidence-based medicine methodology at the National Institute of Health Research, training clinicians in critical appraisal and clinical trial design. His approach focuses on tailoring diagnostic and therapeutic options to each patient, believing that movement is medicine for every stage of life.
