About Dr Shruti Goel
Dr Shruti Goel is a highly experienced consultant nephrologist currently based at The Clementine Churchill Hospital and The Syon Clinic. She brings over a decade of consultant-level expertise in renal medicine, having first been appointed in 2014. Dr Goel also holds an honorary consultant role at Harefield Hospital, where she contributes to the care of patients with complex transplant-related renal conditions. Dr Goel completed her specialist nephrology training at two of London’s leading teaching institutions—Hammersmith and Royal London Hospitals. She has developed broad and in-depth expertise across the full spectrum of renal medicine, including general nephrology, acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), diabetic nephropathy, proteinuria, haematuria, and hypertension. Previously serving as clinical lead for both nephrology and acute kidney injury services at Hillingdon Hospital, Dr Goel played a pivotal role in service development, including the implementation of local AKI pathways. She is an active member of the London AKI Network (LAKIN), contributing to regional improvement initiatives and clinical collaboration. Her clinical experience also extends to acute general medicine, and she works closely with multidisciplinary teams managing complex cases. At Harefield Hospital, she supports the renal care of patients who have undergone heart and lung transplants. Dr Goel has a strong academic and educational background. Her research has focused on acute kidney injury and the incidence of thrombosis in diabetic patients with renal transplants. In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in medical education and regularly delivers educational sessions to general practitioners and trainees.
