Hepatitis A is a liver infection transmitted through the faeces of an infected individual. The majority of people recover within a few months. While Hepatitis A is relatively rare in the UK, it is more prevalent in various regions around the globe. This infection is caused by a virus that spreads via contaminated stool. You are more likely to encounter Hepatitis A in areas such as Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Central and South America.
