Mr Ryan Chin Taw Cheong is a consultant ENT and sub-specialist sleep surgeon at the renowned Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals, part of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Notably, he is the only consultant ENT surgeon in London and in the United Kingdom (UK) with a full-time NHS practice exclusively dedicated to snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. He practices privately at Cleveland Clinic London Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Centre. A highly accomplished surgeon, Mr Cheong has received multiple awards from esteemed organisations such as the Royal Society of Medicine, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and the British Rhinological Society. His advanced surgical training spans the entire spectrum of ENT, honed at prestigious institutions including the Royal Marsden Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and the Royal London Hospital. A leader in his field, Mr Cheong achieved a groundbreaking milestone by performing the first female Inspire hypoglossal nerve stimulator implant and the first Genio Nyxoah hypoglossal nerve stimulator implants for sleep apnoea in the UK.
