About Dr Rabia Farooq

Dr Rabia Farooq is a highly experienced and respected consultant adult and addictions psychiatrist based in the East Midlands, who specialises in ADHD, depression and anxiety alongside bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia and OCD. She privately practices at Magnolia Therapy Centre, while her NHS base is Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust. Dr Farooq is an approved clinician with an impressive educational history. She has an MBBS from Government Medical College in Srinagar, India, and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). Following this, she completed her training in psychiatry with the Charing Cross scheme, specialising in general adult psychiatry and addictions. Dr Farooq, who was the medical director of the East Midlands region for the Priory Group, has a wealth of experience across acute inpatient and community mental health services. She is expert in undertaking high-quality complex assessment and managing complex psychiatric conditions. Further to her specialisms mentioned above, she also diagnoses and treats first-episode psychosis, treatment-resistant depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as borderline personality disorder.
