Heat rash (prickly heat)
Heat rash can be quite uncomfortable, but it is generally not serious. In most cases, it will improve on its own within a few days. On lighter skin, the rash typically appears red, while on darker skin, it may be less visible, appearing grey or white. The symptoms are similar for both adults and children. Heat rash can develop in various areas of the body and may spread, but it is not contagious and cannot be transmitted to others.
