About Dr Mia Jing Gao
Dr Mia Jing Gao is a consultant dermatologist in London who specialises in skin cancer, acne, eczema, alongside psoriasis, pigmentary disorders, and diagnosing and managing complex hair conditions, such as alopaecia and excess hair. She privately practises at 108 Harley Street, while her NHS base is the Royal Free Hospital, where she is the clinical lead for the largest skin cancer service in London at the Royal Free Hospital. Her work includes early detection and diagnosis of skin cancer, and she offers a full range of treatments including diagnostic consultations with trichoscopy, scalp biopsy, steroid injections, and topical or oral medications. She is highly experienced in treating various forms of hair loss, including androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, scarring alopecia and lichen planopilaris. She has led tertiary hair clinics managing complex alopecia cases and remains at the forefront of medical research and clinical best practice in this area.
