About Dr Simon Hodes
Dr Simon Hodes is an experienced and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) with over two decades of dedicated service in both NHS and private healthcare. He privately practises at the Cleveland Clinic London Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Centre, and Cleveland Clinic Moorgate Outpatient Centre. Graduating from Birmingham Medical School in 1996, he completed hospital rotations before qualifying as a GP in 2000. His NHS base is at Cavendish Health Centre, London. For over 20 years, Dr Hodes served as a full-time GP Partner at a longstanding NHS practice in Watford, where he cared for multiple generations of families. He also gained valuable experience working in A&E as a hospital practitioner and later provided urgent care services at Northwick Park Hospital. Dr Hodes is passionate about providing holistic, family-oriented, and patient-centred care, with a strong emphasis on the importance of continuity in healthcare. He is deeply committed to fostering trust and understanding in his practice, ensuring that patients feel supported at every stage of their healthcare journey. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Hodes has a long-standing involvement in medical education. Since 2012, he has been a GP Appraiser in the NHS, more recently joining the Cleveland Clinic Medical Appraiser team from 2023. As an approved GP trainer, he has mentored numerous medical students, junior doctors, trainee GPs, pharmacists and other clinical staff. Simon has also authored publications on key GP topics, including the value of continuity of care, the importance of vaccinations and the significance of Advanced Care Planning.
