About Dr Saoirse Dolly

Dr Saoirse Dolly is a consultant medical oncologist based in London and Brighton. She specialises in cancer diagnostics and treats pancreatic cancer, oesophageal cancer, neuroendocrine tumours, cholangiocarcinoma, stomach cancer, and cancer of unknown primary. Dr Dolly qualified in 2002 from the University of London. She completed a translational PhD focused on identifying new cancer drug targets at the Institute of Cancer Research in 2013. After finishing her specialist training in 2018, she was appointed to her current consultant role. In 2021, Dr Dolly became an honorary senior lecturer at the School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Science, King’s College London, in recognition of her academic contributions. She is among a select group of cancer consultants in the UK with expertise in the early and rapid diagnosis of cancer and serious conditions. Her clinical practice covers both rapid diagnostic pathways and the treatment of complex cancers, including neuroendocrine tumours, pancreatic, biliary tract, and small bowel cancers. She leads Rapid Diagnostic Services, offering tailored clinical assessments to enable timely and accurate diagnoses. In addition to providing comprehensive cancer care—from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up—Dr Dolly is actively involved in research. Her interests include novel strategies for early cancer detection, real-world data analysis to assess treatment outcomes, and the effects of COVID-19 on cancer patients.
