About Dr Ralph Roberts

Dr Ralph Roberts is a distinguished consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist based in Belfast. His areas of expertise include reproductive medicine, fertility and infertility, assisted reproductive technologies, psychosexual problems, pelvic floor and prolapse surgery, and laparoscopic procedures. Dr Roberts consults privately at TFP Belfast Fertility. With over 40 years' experience, Dr Roberts originally qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 1983. He then completed subspecialty training in reproductive medicine in Edinburgh and Glasgow, before returning to Northern Ireland to take up his NHS consultant post at Ulster Hospital, where he has served since 1996. Dr Roberts holds esteemed fellowship to both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He has set up dedicated infertility services in both the public and private sectors in Northern Ireland, and has also published his clinical research in peer-reviewed publications.
