About Mr Paul Goldsmith

Mr Paul Goldsmith is a general surgeon with a focus on upper GI surgery at Spire Hospital Manchester. He specialises in hiatal hernia surgery, acid reflux, gastroscopy, gallstones, dysphagia and indigestion (dyspepsia). Mr Goldsmith graduated from The University of Leeds, completed his training in Yorkshire, and earned an MD for his research on '1H NMR spectrometric identification of biomarkers in renal transplantation.' He also spent some time working in The Netherlands. With more than 30 publications and a record of presenting his work nationally and internationally, Mr Goldsmith has become experienced in various surgical areas. One of his notable areas of expertise is in The Reflux Clinic, where he focuses on gastro-oesophageal reflux. The Reflux Clinic is set up jointly with doctors from several specialities including gastroenterology, ear nose and throat and respiratory using a multi disciplinary approach to get the best outcomes for patients. We are able to offer many differing solutions to reflux issues depending on the need of the patient, including Linx, RefluxStop and STRETTA.
