About Mr Niteen Tapuria

Mr Niteen Tapuria is a highly respected consultant hepatobiliary, general and laparoscopic surgeon based in London, practising at Nuffield Health Highgate Hospital. He specialises in conditions affecting the pancreas, liver and gallbladder, with particular expertise in pancreatic cancer, pancreatitis, pancreatic cysts, gallbladder disease and liver cancer. He is highly experienced in laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair and appendicectomy, and is recognised for delivering safe, outcomes-focused care tailored to each patient. He completed his higher specialist surgical training in general and hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery at leading London centres, such as University College London Hospitals, the Royal Free Hospital, the Royal Marsden Hospital and King’s College Hospital. He further enhanced his expertise through advanced fellowship training, including the prestigious McMaster Fellowship in hepatobiliary surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, a post-CCT fellowship in hepatobiliary and transplantation surgery, and fellowship in robotic surgery at the University Hospital of Pisa. Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Tapuria was awarded an MD from University College London for research into organ protection and endothelial function, supported by the European Society of Surgical Oncology Fellowship and the Peter Samuel Grant. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at international conferences and serves as a reviewer for the British Journal of Surgery.
