About Mr Mital Desai

Mr Mital Desai is a leading consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon based in London. His areas of expertise include varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, leg ulcer, peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, and aortic aneurysms. Mr Desai consults privately at Hendon Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic. Mr Desai obtained his MBBS at Gujarat University, followed by an MS in General Surgery in 2003. He completed higher surgical training with Health Education England at the Royal Free Hospital and University College Hospital in 2018. Mr Desai went on to complete a post CCT fellowship in endovascular surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2018-9. Notably, Mr Desai was selected for a prestigious and highly competitive clinical academic training programme funded by the National Institute for Health Research, first as a fellow in Leicester and later as a lecturer in London. In 2012, he also pursued an MD (Res) at University College London, where he focused on the development of novel aortic stent-grafts for endovascular repair, a project for which he won several grants and awards. Furthermore, Mr Desai has delivered over 60 oral presentations at international conferences and has published numerous high-impact, peer-reviewed articles. He also serves as a reviewer for the European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and is an esteemed member of professional organisations, including the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland and the European Society for Vascular Surgery. Additionally, he currently holds the position of Associate Clinical Director for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening at InHealth in Southwest London.
