About Mr Gourab Misra
Mr Gourab Misra is a consultant gynaecologist in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stafford, with expertise in advanced laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and robotic surgery. He treats a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including endometriosis, fibroids, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and infertility. He privately practises at Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital and Rowley Hall Hospital, while his NHS base is University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. Mr Misra is the lead for gynaecological services, minimal access surgery and the nationally accredited North Staffordshire Endometriosis Centre at UHNM. He played a key role in establishing the centre and its multidisciplinary team, which includes colorectal, urology and pain management specialists. He also pioneered the advanced laparoscopic surgery service at the trust. He has received extensive training in minimally invasive techniques, completing a Diploma in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy at the University of Surrey and a Master of Surgery in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at Anglia Ruskin University. He holds MRCOG and FRCOG qualifications from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and has accreditation in gynaecological ultrasound from the RCOG. Mr Misra’s surgical practice focuses on keyhole procedures such as hysteroscopy and robotic laparoscopy for the treatment of complex gynaecological problems. He is a member of the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy and is committed to offering evidence-based, patient-centred care using the most advanced surgical techniques available.
