About Mr Christian West

Mr Christian West is a consultant plastic surgeon who has been practising for over two decades in the North West of England. He specialises in abdominoplasty, diastasis recti repair, facelifts, breast augmentation and uplift (mastopexy), abdominal wall reconstruction, breast reduction, and blepharoplasty. Mr West qualified from the University of Leeds in 1998 and underwent training in Manchester and Leeds, as well as in Perth, Australia. He pursued a postgraduate degree at the University of Manchester, during which he undertook two years of medical research in Sweden on reconstruction under peripheral nerve injury. In 2011, Mr West became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr West is a certified hand specialist with cross-speciality expertise that encompasses orthopaedic aspects and plastic surgery aspects of hand and arm disorders. He has spent time studying at the prestigious Pulvertaft Hand Centre, and has been awarded the British Diploma in Hand Surgery. He leads a specialist service within the NHS that focuses on the correction of breast asymmetry deformity, hand injuries, complex limb reconstruction, and facial reconstruction for skin cancer. Additionally, he does work within the Regional Centre for Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction.
