About Mr Bishoy Youssef

Mr Bishoy Youssef is a leading consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Newcastle-under-Lyme who specialises in hip and knee surgery. His areas of expertise include knee and hip arthroscopy, knee and hip replacement, revision surgery, and the use of custom implants. Mr Youssef consults privately at Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital. With over 19 years’ experience, he also practises for University Hospitals of North Midlands, where is the clinical lead for pelvic and acetabular reconstruction and peri-prosthetic joint infection treatment. Mr Youssef qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2002. He undertook his higher surgical training on the prestigious Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme, based at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, before completing a specialist orthopaedic fellowship at the North West Pelvic and Acetabular Service and the Centre for Hip Surgery at Wrightington Hospital. Furthermore, Mr Youssef gained experience as a visiting fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, the Holland Arthritis Centre in Toronto, and St John's Hospital in Los Angeles. He also holds esteemed fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons, England and is a member of several professional organisations, including the Orthopaedic Trauma Society.
