About Dr Aaron Hughes

Dr Aaron Hughes is a leading consultant dermatologist based in London. His specialist expertise includes eczema, psoriasis, male genital dermatology, acne, and moles. With over 10 years of experience, Dr Hughes consults privately at three private hospitals in North and Central London: Skin Care Network in Barnet, Royal Free Private Patients Unit in Hampstead and Hadley Wood Hospital in Barnet. Dr Hughes qualified from University College London’s Medical School. He trained at some of the most renowned teaching hospitals, including St George’s, the Royal London, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, before completing additional training in male genital skin conditions at University College London Hospital. In 2019, Dr Hughes was notably awarded a competitive grant from the Medical Research Council, which enabled him to spend three years conducting formal research at Bart’s and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. His work, which focused on the mechanisms behind eczema, led to a PhD from Queen Mary University of London. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Hughes has authored more than 20 publications in high-impact medical journals. He has presented in Amsterdam, Milan, Berlin, and Madrid, and is an active member of the British Association of Dermatologists and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
