Goitre
A goitre is a swelling or lump located at the front of the neck, resulting from an enlarged thyroid gland. The thyroid is a small gland in your neck responsible for producing hormones. While goitres are generally not serious, it’s advisable to have them assessed by a GP. The primary indication of a goitre is the presence of a swelling at the front of the neck, which is typically not painful.
