Glue ear
Glue ear occurs when fluid accumulates in the middle section of the ear canal, leading to temporary hearing loss. This condition typically resolves within three months, but it's advisable to consult a GP if you experience any hearing issues. The primary symptom of glue ear is temporary hearing loss, which can affect both ears simultaneously. If glue ear persists for an extended period, it may impact a child's speech development and educational progress. While glue ear is more prevalent in children, adults can also experience the same symptoms.
