Mr Samrat Mukherjee is a highly skilled consultant general and upper GI surgeon based in Essex, practising at Nuffield Health The Holly Hospital and Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital. He has particular expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, specialising in gallstones, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, oesophago-gastric cancers, and hernia repair. Known for his precise surgical technique and patient-focused approach, he combines advanced procedures with extensive clinical experience to deliver excellent outcomes. Mr Mukherjee’s surgical training began in Calcutta, India, where he qualified in 2001 and became a certified General Surgeon in 2005. He then completed specialist upper gastrointestinal training in London, gaining experience at leading centres including the Royal Marsden Hospital and University College London Hospital. He also undertook an international fellowship at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong, enhancing his expertise in oesophago-gastric cancer and complex minimally invasive surgery.
