Miss Rachel Healy is a highly accomplished consultant ophthalmologist based in Bristol and Bath, practising at The Eye Unit. She specialises in glaucoma, cataract surgery, and general ophthalmology, with particular expertise in glaucoma surgery, trabeculectomy, minimally invasive glaucoma procedures, and premium intraocular lens implantation. As Glaucoma Lead at the Bristol Eye Hospital, she delivers expert, evidence-based care tailored to the individual needs of her patients. Before embarking on her medical career, Miss Healy graduated with First Class Honours in Chemistry from the University of Bristol. She went on to complete her medical degree at Newcastle University and undertook specialist ophthalmology training across Cheltenham, Taunton, and Bristol, culminating in a glaucoma fellowship at Bristol Eye Hospital. She further refined her expertise through an observership in Birmingham, focusing on complex glaucoma management. Alongside her clinical work, Miss Healy is actively involved in research, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences.
