About Mrs Polly Ford

Mrs Polly Ford is a consultant gynaecologist and subspecialist in reproductive medicine and surgery. She specialises in fertility assessment and treatment, reproductive surgery, menopause care, hormone health, male fertility, minimally invasive surgery, endometriosis management and hysteroscopy. She privately practises at Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital, while her NHS base is University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, providing expert care in fertility, reproductive health and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. She has a particular interest in reproductive endocrinology and offers a comprehensive range of surgical approaches, including laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and open procedures. Additional clinical interests include ovulation induction, endometrial scratch procedures and female sterilisation. Mrs Ford completed her medical degree (MB BCh) at Cardiff University and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). She undertook her specialty training in Wales, followed by subspecialty training in reproductive medicine and surgery in Leicester and Oxford. During her time in Leicester, she was part of a tertiary endometriosis team, gaining extensive experience in advanced benign gynaecological surgery and ultrasound. She is an active member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Fertility Society (BFS), the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), ensuring she remains at the forefront of developments in reproductive medicine and minimally invasive surgery. In addition to her clinical practice, Mrs Ford is active in research and education in reproductive health. She regularly participates in specialty courses and congresses, and has been invited to speak at international meetings.
