Dr Nnenna Osuji is a highly regarded leading haematology consultant at Shirley Oaks hospital, Croydon, and Parkside Hospital, Wimbledon. Dr Osuji specialises in all aspects of haematology, including anaemia, blood clots, sickle cell disease, lymphomas, leukaemia and thrombocytopenia. Dr Osuji achieved an honours degree from the University of Aberdeen and specialised in haematology in South West London, receiving training at St. George's Hospital, Royal Surrey County Hospital, Croydon Health Services, and the Royal Marsden. Renowned for her compassionate approach to high-quality care, she has earned admiration from both patients and colleagues. Over the years, Dr Osuji has held various leadership roles, such as being the lead clinician for haemato-oncology/MDT/Chemotherapy for 10 years, lead for haemostasis and thrombosis from 2014 to 2015, and Head of Department from 2012 to 2015. In the latter position, she successfully obtained CPA accreditation for the laboratory and represented the laboratory's interests in the centralisation of SWL Pathology services. Dr Osuji was instrumental in setting up a collaborative MDT service, encompassing three NHS trusts and five hospital sites. Notably, she initiated the introduction of video conferencing services during that time. She led numerous successful peer reviews of the haemato-oncology MDT and chemotherapy services and was instrumental in implementing electronic chemotherapy prescribing. Since 2015, Dr Osuji has assumed extensive executive NHS leadership and continues to provide clinical care at Nuffield Parkside Hospital. Her commitment to patients and her outstanding contributions have made her highly esteemed in her field.
