About Mr Murugu Selvan
Mr Murugu Kalai Selvan Masilamani, known as Mr Selvan, is a consultant urological surgeon based at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton. With over two decades of experience, he specialises in the management of general urological conditions, with a particular interest in prostate and bladder-related disorders. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Madras in 1993 and went on to complete postgraduate training in General Surgery at Stanley Medical College. After moving to the UK, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000, followed by a Fellowship in Urology. Mr Selvan's clinical practice encompasses all aspects of diagnostic and general urology, including the investigation and management of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), bladder pressure testing (urodynamics), and minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic enlargement. He performs a wide range of procedures such as transurethral resection of the prostate and bladder tumours (TURP/TURBT), Aquablation therapy, vasectomy, adult circumcision, and scrotal and testicular surgery for both benign and malignant conditions Fluent in both English and Tamil, Mr Selvan is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalised care. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the British Association of Urological Surgeons.
