About Mr Mohammed Alsheikh

Mr Mohammed Alsheikh is a highly experienced consultant urological surgeon at both The Saxon Clinic and Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, with over 11 years of consultant experience across several UK hospitals. He offers expertise in all aspects of general urology, with specialist interests in kidney stone disease, benign prostatic enlargement, andrology (men’s health), paediatric urology, and minimally invasive bladder cancer surgery. At Milton Keynes, Mr Alsheikh leads the andrology and paediatric urology services and has introduced two pioneering technologies to the region: Transurethral Laser Ablation (TULA) for superficial bladder cancer and Aquablation therapy for BPH. These innovations have transformed local care, enabling patients to access advanced, day-case, minimally invasive treatments closer to home. Mr Alsheikh has extensive experience in stone surgery and endourology, having performed more than a thousand laser-based procedures, including ureteroscopy (URS), flexible ureteroscopy (FURS), retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS), and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). He participates in regional multidisciplinary teams for both cancer and stone disease, ensuring that every patient receives evidence-based, collaborative care. His Andrology practice encompasses the full spectrum of male sexual and reproductive health, including erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, and male infertility. He co-founded a multidisciplinary fertility clinic that integrates surgical and medical pathways in collaboration with reproductive medicine specialists. As lead for paediatric urology, Mr Alsheikh manages a wide range of children’s urological conditions, such as undescended testes, foreskin problems, and urinary tract disorders, providing family-centred and compassionate care. Mr Alsheikh is on the specialist register and holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Urol, 2014), following his earlier FRCS (Ed) (1998). He also completed a Master’s degree in Surgical Science at the University of London and obtained a Diploma of Imperial College London (D.I.C.) in 2002. This strong academic foundation underpins his dedication to evidence-based and innovative surgical practice. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and contributes to teaching and mentorship at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including FRCS (Urology) preparation courses. Outside his clinical work, Mr Alsheikh enjoys a range of activities that reflect an active lifestyle. He is a keen pianist and finds music a valuable outlet for relaxation and focus. He also enjoys playing tennis and cross-country cycling, pursuits that complement his commitment to health and wellbeing.
