About Dr Mohamed Ahmed

Dr Mohamed Ahmed is a highly established, UK-trained consultant cardiologist with broad expertise in general and interventional cardiology. He currently works as a consultant cardiologist at the Ross Hall Clinic Braehead, providing specialist care in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of cardiac conditions. He graduated in medicine from the University of Khartoum and subsequently completed postgraduate training in Ireland and the UK. Dr Ahmed obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2015 and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training in Cardiology in 2022. His advanced training included a fellowship in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Ahmed is actively involved in training, education, and the development of cardiology services. His main areas of expertise include chest pain, palpitations, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, and angioplasty, but to mention just a few. He has, to date, conducted up-to-date research with regards to the latest developments in the field of cardiology.
