About Mr Michael Fraser
Mr Michael Fraser is a highly experienced consultant urologist specialising in andrology. Gaining his qualification from Aberdeen in 1986, he then trained in urology in Yorkshire before returning to Scotland. He has worked in urology in Glasgow since 2002, based at the Royal Infirmary and Southern General Hospitals. He also consults privately for men’s health and urology issues at the Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital. His unit is the major centre in Scotland for the implantation of penile prostheses, and is now one of the high volume centres in the U.K. for this specialised service. Michael developed this specialisation under the mentorship of two of the world’s leading andrologists, Mr Ian Eardley from Leeds and Dr Steve Wilson from the U.S. He now receives referrals from all over Scotland for complex functional penile surgery. His particular areas of interest include general adult urology (haematuria, bladder dysfunction, prostate health), erectile dysfunction (ED), Peyronie's disease, penile surgery, circumcision, penile implant surgery and prosthetic urology, as well as shockwave therapy for ED. Michael has recently been elected to the Executive Committee of the Andrology section of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS).
