About Miss Kaveri Mandal

Miss Kaveri Mandal is a consultant ophthalmologist based in Warrington and Shrewsbury, specialising in cataract surgery including premium lenses, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, medical retinal disorders, retinal diseases, uveitis, and dry eye disease. Miss Mandal qualified from the University of Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1995, and undertook initial training in India before coming to the UK for further specialist training in esteemed ophthalmological institutions such as Sunderland Eye Infirmary, Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle and St Paul's Eye Unit Liverpool. She then undertook fellowship at the Bristol Eye Infirmary, honing her skills for the management of medical retinal diseases and uveitis. Miss Mandal has been a consultant since 2009 with Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where she is also the Medical Retina Lead. She has served as a college tutor for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for ten years and is also a certified microsurgical skills trainer.
