He has a complex, tertiary practice which means that he sees the most complex foot and ankle problems as well as the routine ones. Mr Malhotra is actively involved with extensive medical research, is widely published across a whole host of established medical journals and publications, and his work has notably won numerous national and international awards. He has written book chapters and consensus publications. He is heavily involved in education and is regularly invited to teach on courses and lecture at conferences in the UK and abroad. He possesses a particularly keen interest in developing technology in healthcare and improving patient outcomes and presently is a council member with the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS). Mr Malhotra believes it is of the utmost importance for patients to be involved in their care and decision-making. He strives to ensure patients are given a balanced and honest opinion of all surgical and non-surgical options available to them for the treatment of their condition and that they can understand these options. In some instances, this may involve a discussion of complex cases in a multi-disciplinary setting.
