About Mr Justin Nissen

Mr Justin Nissen is a consultant neurosurgeon at Nuffield Health Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital, with specialist expertise in the management of spinal disorders, including low back and neck conditions, complex spinal pathology, and spinal microsurgery. He completed his neurosurgical training in Newcastle and subsequently undertook a prestigious spinal fellowship at the Freeman Hospital, where he received advanced training in complex spinal surgery. Mr Nissen currently serves as the Senior Spinal Neurosurgeon at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. His clinical interests encompass spine surgery, back pain, sciatica, neck disorders, and spinal microsurgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Association of Spine Surgeons and the Society of British Neurological Surgeons.
