About Mr Jack Coode-Bate

Mr Jack Coode-Bate is a consultant urologist based in Plymouth with a broad and comprehensive background in general and sub-specialist urological care. He practises at Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital and has particular expertise in robotic urological surgery, kidney stone management, endoscopic procedures, vasectomy, haematuria (blood in the urine), and the investigation of raised PSA. He is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care, often using minimally invasive techniques to optimise patient outcomes and recovery. Mr Coode-Bate graduated in medicine in 2009 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Southampton and University College London. His early training in the Wessex Deanery was followed by higher surgical training in the East of England, where he gained extensive experience across all areas of general and specialist urology. He also undertook dedicated research at the Quadram Institute in Norwich, earning an MD for his award-winning work investigating the influence of diet on the metabolism and genetics of prostate cancer. He has a sub-specialist interest in kidney surgery for both benign and malignant conditions and has developed significant expertise in robotic and complex renal procedures at Mid Essex Hospital and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals. He further refined his skills during a dedicated Renal Cancer Fellowship at Cambridge University Hospitals, Addenbrooke’s. Mr Coode-Bate offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and is an active member of leading professional organisations, including the British Association of Urological Surgeons, and European Association of Urology.
