About Dr Hannah Douglas

Dr Hannah Douglas is a highly accomplished consultant cardiologist who specialises in adult congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, chest pain, angina, echocardiogram, and coronary angiography. She currently practises at The Cardiac Clinic, which is part of HCA Healthcare. Dr Douglas, who completed her first official medical degree at Queen's University Belfast, successfully undertook the majority of her medical training at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast before joining Guy's and St Thomas' as a sub-specialty fellow. Dr Douglas possesses additional skills in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiogram procedures, both day case and peri-procedural. Other areas of expertise that Dr Douglas holds include high blood pressure, cardiomyopathy, low bloodpressure, heart murmurs, and heart failure. Notably, she has, to date, conducted extensive and detailed research on chronic total occlusive coronary disease with the use of cardiac MRI, cardiomyopathy in pregnancy, placental dysfunction, and identification in cardiovascular risk factor prediction, as well as pulmonary hypertension in pregnancy and long-term cardiovascular health in women of childbearing age. She has and continues to publish an impressive amount of peer-reviewed articles in established medical journals and publications.
