About Mr Dimitri Pournaras
Mr Dimitri Pournaras is a distinguished consultant upper GI and bariatric surgeon practising in Bristol, practising at Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital – The Chesterfield and Spire Bristol Hospital. He specialises in bariatric and laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal surgery, including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and gallbladder surgery. Mr Pournaras is dedicated to supporting patients through complex weight loss procedures and managing obesity-related conditions with a personalised, patient-centred approach. Mr Pournaras completed his medical degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and undertook postgraduate training across leading UK and international centres, including Cambridge, Norwich, Sweden, and Japan.
