About Mr Demetri Panayi

Mr Demetri Panayi is a leading consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist based in London, who specialises in urogynaecology, pelvic floor and perineal wounds alongside vaginal prolapse, vaginal problems and bladder problems. He has a special interest in with chronic or recurrent urinary tract infections as well as bladder and pelvic pain. Mr Panayi’s subspecialties include the management of overactive bladder, chronic pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis and irregular periods. He is also skilled in performing advanced procedures such as hysteroscopy, pelvic floor surgery, hysterectomy and vaginal reconstruction. Mr Panayi is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for his patients, including non-surgical options like pessary fitting for prolapse and incontinence, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and cosmetic gynaecology. He is also proficient in performing smear tests, intrauterine device (IUD) insertions, and administering Botox™ injections to the bladder and pelvic floor. Educated at the University of London, Mr Panayi earned his MB BS in 1997, alongside a BSc (Hons), and is a member of the Royal College of Gynaecologists (MRCOG).
