Mr Chokkalingam Arun is a leading consultant general and colorectal surgeon based in Hereford. His areas of expertise include hernia repair, laparoscopy, robotic colorectal surgery, lumps and bumps, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) surgery, and proctology conditions such as haemorrhoids and fistulae. Mr Arun consults privately at Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital and The Wye Clinic Hereford. With over 29 years’ experience, he also practises for Hereford County Hospital and previously worked at Nevill Hall Hospital from 2008 to 2020. In addition, Mr Arun is also highly experienced in colonoscopy and diagnostic lower GI endoscopy procedures, as well as the management of anal fissures. Mr Arun obtained his MBBS from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in 1996. He completed his higher surgical training on the prestigious Mid Trent Rotation in Nottingham, before completing a research MD at the University of Leicester in 2002, investigating tumour markers in colorectal cancer. Furthermore, Mr Arun maintains memberships in several professional organisations, including the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain.
